Hey there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m Sophia Allen, and I’m so excited to have you here. If you’re as passionate about coffee and marketing as I am, you’re in the right place!

I created The Social Sip to combine two things I absolutely love—marketing and coffee. As a marketing major at Southeastern Louisiana University, I’m constantly learning new things, and I wanted a space to share that journey with you. Whether I’m diving into the latest marketing strategies, discussing the creative ideas we explore in class, or experimenting with social media trends, this blog will be my way of bringing those lessons to life.

But here’s the fun part—I’m also using this space to talk about one of my other passions: coffee! More specifically, Luma Coffee Roastery, the amazing coffee company I get to work with. I’ll be sharing everything from tips on brewing the perfect cup of coffee to behind-the-scenes looks at how Luma is bringing incredible flavors to our community. If you're a fellow coffee lover, I hope you’ll find inspiration here too.

The goal of this blog is to blend my marketing knowledge with my love for all things coffee, and I can’t wait to take you along for the ride. Fun Fact: A Special Memory at Luma Coffee Roastery

Speaking of coffee... I can’t help but share one of my favorite memories tied to Luma Coffee Roastery! When it came time to ask my bridal party to stand by my side on the big day, I knew I wanted to do something extra special. So, I invited them all to Luma for a cozy coffee date, where I asked each of them in the most personal and heartfelt way I could think of—over a delicious cup of coffee!

That moment is one I’ll always cherish, and every time I walk into Luma now, it brings back such warm memories of laughter, excitement, and the love I felt surrounded by my closest friends. It’s a sweet reminder of how coffee can bring people together, whether you’re sharing a big life moment or just enjoying a casual chat. I’m so grateful for that experience, and it makes my connection to this little roastery even more special.
